Global esports festival World Cyber Games (WCG) announced that its 2025 edition will feature a National Showdown in India this September, partnering with Upthrust Esports, one of India’s premier esports companies.
Building on the success of WCG 2024, which debuted a creator-focused format, the WCG 2025 National Showdownswill take place in Korea, India, and the Philippines. These regional competitions will culminate in a global festival held in Indonesia this December.
The Indian event, named WCG 2025 National Showdown India, will highlight popular Indian gaming creators competing in Creator Rumble — WCG’s signature competition format that combines gaming skill with board-game-style randomness. Launched in 2024, Creator Rumble has rapidly gained popularity for its mix of competition, entertainment, and unpredictability.
To deliver this event, WCG’s organizer Bigpicture Interactive has joined forces with Upthrust Esports, renowned for producing large-scale tournaments and creator-driven gaming content in India.
