In a bold move into the Indian esports arena, smartphone brand Infinix India has announced a strategic partnership with leading BGMI team True Rippers, rebranding the squad as Infinix True Rippers. This marks Infinix’s first global esports team collaboration, reinforcing its commitment to India’s booming gaming ecosystem.
The announcement comes ahead of the June 3 launch of the GT 30 Pro, an esports-centric smartphone offering 120 FPS support, BGMI Krafton certification, and dual gaming shoulder triggers—a first-in-segment innovation. The collaboration symbolizes the brand’s push to align cutting-edge gaming hardware with top-tier competitive talent.
“Our collaboration is rooted in a shared belief—that gaming in India is more than just play; it’s a powerful aspiration for the youth,” said Anish Kapoor, CEO of Infinix India. “Together with True Rippers, we’re building a performance-driven ecosystem to empower the next generation of gamers.”
The Infinix True Rippers are currently competing in the invite-only BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2025, following a top-6 finish at the BGMI India Series (BGIS) last month. Beyond competitive play, the team will collaborate with Infinix on content and co-creation initiatives throughout the year.
“This is more than a naming rights deal—it’s about storytelling, innovation, and meaningful engagement,” added Yashwanth AR, CEO of True Rippers.
