S8UL Enters Apex Legends with World-Class Roster Ahead of Esports World Cup 2025

S8UL, a leading name in global esports and gaming content, has officially made its entry into the competitive Apex Legends scene. With this move, S8UL becomes one of the first Indian organisations to field a roster in the popular battle royale title at an international level. The announcement was made late on April 10, unveiling their new lineup ahead of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025.

Spearheading the newly signed roster is Rick ‘Sharky’ Wirth — a highly decorated player known for winning the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) 2022 Championship with DarkZero Esports, where his team secured a $500,000 prize (approx. ₹4.3 crore). More recently, Sharky competed with Team Burger and was part of the EWC 2024. With over $320,000 (approx. ₹2.7 crore) in career earnings, his inclusion brings elite-level experience and a winning pedigree to S8UL’s Apex division.

Joining Sharky are Benjamin ‘Jesko’ Spaseski and Tom ‘Legacy’ Canty — a dynamic Australian duo with previous stints at Guild Esports. The two have competed in high-profile tournaments, including the ALGS 2024 Championship, and were top 10 finishers at EWC 2024. Collectively, they have earned more than $150,000 (approx. ₹1.2 crore) in prize money and are known for their coordination and impact on the global stage.

The team will be coached by Harrison ‘Rogers’ Rogers, who brings a deep understanding of Apex Legends competitive strategy. His insights and tactical leadership are expected to be key in shaping the team’s gameplay throughout the EWC and beyond.

“We’re incredibly excited to take this next step into Apex Legends with a world-class team,” said Animesh Agarwal aka 8Bit Thug, Co-founder and CEO of S8UL. “At S8UL, we’ve always believed in pushing boundaries and representing India on the biggest stages. Sharky, Jesko, Legacy, and coach Rogers bring a level of experience and talent that aligns perfectly with our vision for global esports dominance. Representing India on the Apex global stage is a proud moment for us, and we can’t wait to see what this roster achieves at EWC 2025 and beyond.”

This development marks S8UL’s first Apex Legends roster and comes in continuation of the org’s recent push into multiple EWC titles, including EAFC 25, Chess, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Tekken 8. The inclusion of a top-tier Apex lineup further signals S8UL’s ambitions to not just participate but to compete at the highest level globally.

“Joining S8UL is a massive step forward for us as a team,” said Rogers, the team’s coach. “This isn’t just about one event—it’s about building something long-term with an organisation that shares our vision and ambition. S8UL’s legacy in esports speaks for itself, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. With their support, we’re ready to push boundaries and compete at the highest level throughout the year.”

As S8UL continues to scale Indian representation across global esports platforms, its latest move into Apex Legends solidifies its commitment to becoming a dominant force not just in content creation and mobile gaming, but also in global competitive esports.
